in the Starry Night Trio from 1997 to the present.
Randy's albums include many of his original songs, such as Last Time, Livin’ on the Edge, Wonderful Town,Wherever You Go and We Make Music, to
name only a few. Recordings include: Knockin’ On Your Hearts Door, Simply Us, and The Other Side, and his brand new release Just Play.
"I call the music in Just Play piano textures, because it is continuous sound, varying in mood and feel. It's mostly reflective and meditative, and the music
is all improvised; I just sat at the piano and played whatever mood I was feeling. Then I created the orchestra, wind chimes, and other sounds to go along with the piano. It's a very soothing album and
lasts for about 70 minutes, non-stop."
Randy is also owner and chief engineer of the Exceptions Studio, Topeka, KS, where he produces and records studio and on-site projects. He also fills a high-volume demand for original songs,
orchestrations, lyrics, arrangements and audio/visual soundtracks. He has done over 500 radio and TV
jingles for local, regional and national clients, e.g. The Broadmoor Hotel, Ohse national TV spot, State of Kansas Theme Song, Koch Crime Commission, NCAA Sports Music Package, and countless more.
As a producer, he has headed many regional, national and international album projects, commercials, AV soundtracks, locally, regionally and on site, e.g. Nashville, TN. He has orchestrated and produced
over 400 albums and CDs for artists such as Pete Whitebird's Union Man, which reached #1 on Billboard Magazine's New Country Gospel Chart in 1998.
